What Makes Honey Bridal Different

Sustainable & Ethical Fashion

We partner exclusively with designers who prioritize the planet and their people — using eco-conscious fabrics, low-waste production, and ethical labor practices.

Size-Inclusive by Design

Every bride deserves a beautiful, well-fitting gown. Our thoughtfully curated collection includes samples available to try on in sizes 8 to 22, with styles available to order in sizes 00 - 42. Styles are listed by sample size on our Gowns page, so you know exactly what to expect.

Modern, Effortless Style

We specialize in fashion-forward, minimal, and romantic gowns that don’t look like everything else you’ve already seen out there. You want to look and feel like yourself on your wedding day — just elevated.

A Safe, Supportive Space

No pressure. No judgment. Just real, helpful, and supportive styling advice in a welcoming environment designed for all bodies, backgrounds, and love stories.

Independent Designers You Won’t See Everywhere

We champion small, independent designers who are changing the bridal industry for the better — exclusive collections, handcrafted details, and original designs you won’t find at big-box stores.

By Appointment, All About You

Every appointment is private and intentionally personal. You’ll work one-on-one with a stylist who actually listens and tailors the experience to your vibe and vision.

Local Love, Global Impact

As a woman-owned, Chicago-based boutique, we care deeply about our local community and the broader impact of sustainable and ethical fashion. Your love makes the world better, and we believe your wedding can be a force for good, too.

Our Story

Dana Karlov and Hallie Borden are sisters. They are complete opposites and also exactly the same. Hallie and Dana opened Honey together in 2017.

In Honey, the sisters have created a space that’s relaxed, inclusive, and a little bit irreverent. Honey stocks handcrafted dresses from independent designers, and specializes in styles for the modern bride who knows who she is.

Honey’s designers practice slow fashion and support ethical and sustainable manufacturing. All gowns at Honey are handmade in designer ateliers, not sweatshops.

After a decade of experience in the luxury bridal market as the founder and owner of Bagable Gifts, Dana Karlov expanded her expertise into the bridal dress market. Passionate about fashion and customer experience, Dana found a natural fit in Honey, where sartorial looks and personalized service reign supreme.

Hallie Borden is the owner of the locally sourced, sustainable clothing store, Milk Handmade, which she opened in 2012. Hallie also designs her own line of ready-to-wear clothing, proudly manufactured in Chicago. Milk and Honey were formerly next door to each other, and regulars of Milk will recognize its relaxed vibe and elevated style while shopping at Honey.
